A Farewell ... Irreversible ...

A mind as strong as a bear
A body eventually to fragile
A willpower hard to calm down
A fighting spirit hard to tame
Only something superhuman could stop this life ...

Today, the funeral service was held for our nephew Wouter Johan van Wijnen (February 7th 1942 - July 23rd 2016) in St. Mary Magdalene Church in Goes, on the South Beveland Island in Zeeland.

The poem at the beginning (literally translated from Dutch) essentially describes the man who our nephew was ...

... Rest in peace, dear Wouter ...

In the picture a field in full bloom with flowers I have unfortunately not been able to identify. Found it along the provincial road along which we drove from Goes to Rotterdam. The extra pictures section, I posted a picture with an overview of the landscape with the blooming flowers field.
