Adult feathers

This little Starling is just beginning to get his adult feathers ..... you can see them starting to come through on his breast.

Did a few jobs in the house .... then fetched 2 bags of gravel for the back garden & 2 bags of slate for the front. It was getting a bit sparse in places & these filled the thin patches in nicely ....... both gardens are looking much better after the last couple of days work :-)
