Villeneuve

It's always a delight to pop in to buy a bottle of wine (or three) because Alister is such a regular nice guy.   He has a vast knowledge of wine, visited pretty well anywhere he buys wine from, and is ready to share his wisdom in a very self-effacing and humorous way.

Last Wednesday he was standing in his front room at the window watching the storm and holding his dog (who was terrified).   The front of his house was hit by lightning - large chunks of sandstone were blasted off.   Alister was thrown 20 feet across the room.   All the electrics were destroyed.    And when the doctor gave him an ECG on Friday, there were definite signs of an "episode" having taken place.
