1000 Cranes

Fun and games at the Dunscore Church Holiday Club today! I had offered to teach the children how to make origami peace cranes...

There were 12 children aged between about 3 and 9 and I was impressed by their enthusiasm and perseverance. I think the adults may have found it more difficult! We started with big white pieces of paper and then progressed to this beautiful paper which I bought when I visited Sarah in Japan a few years ago.

* I didn't make 1000 cranes but it felt as though I had done!  Here's the story of a man who made 2000 and why he did it.
