Turn of the screw

This large object makes a weird squeal when it burrows down into the ground. Some workmen spent a week digging a very large hole at the side of Platform 6 of Nottingham Station. They then filled it in and put what looked like soil across the top and levelled it off. Now they're busy drilling holes in it.

What is all this in aid of you might ask? The answer is quite simple. Somehow or other all this industriousness will lead to the Terminus for the new Tram services.
