Kiama Light

There are so many things that can be seen from the Kendalls Beach verandah. Here is the Kiama Light. This morning, the sunrise itself didn't have a lot of clouds to help it along but the lighthouse was still operating. (It actually closed down about 30 seconds after I shot this) The light has been here for 129 years now but has functioned in its present fully automated form for the last 47 years. I strongly suspect that it is no longer strictly necessary for maritime navigation and safety but the local council is immensely supportive of its tourism industry. I have augmented the visible beam with the flare filter from PSE but you don't mind do you?
