Small Skipper
A late afternoon outing to Pye Flatts Meadow where there were more butterflies than I've seen all year. Quite a few Small Skippers (they are really tiny), also Ringlets and Meadow Browns and a pair of mating Whites. (In fact, there were quite a few whites in the garden this morning - again more than I've seen all year.)
A very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours with a few members of the Penistone Camera Club. I've now got the almost impossible job of whittling down the butterfly photos to just a few keepers. Remarkably most of them were sharp.
