Lemons!

An essential element of my regular G&T is a lovely slice of lemon!
We use a lot of lemons, in our house......not only for G&T! My early morning drinks are mugs of hot water, each with a slice of lemon......and I have several more such drinks, throughout the day!
Although we live in Spain, where lemons are plentiful....and they grow throughout our Valencian region, I have to say that the price of our local lemons has soared! This is because production has fallen, due to the high temperatures during the flowering period in May; the flowers were scorched and the fruit never materialised.
Apparently lemons are now being imported.......from the Southern Hemisphere........there is huge demand in the hospitality sector......so all our holiday makers can still enjoy a slice of lemon with their G & T!
