It's raining

This summer is not that bad as the last one. So far warm sunny days also give way to some shorter, other time longer and more intensive period of rain. Watching trees turn yellow and almost die last summer taught me to love rain. Here are some more reasons:

1) green is greener when it rains
2) the sound of rain calms me down
3) the storm makes me feel respect for Mother Nature
4) the air smells intoxicating
5) I don't have to water my garden (though I find this activity very relaxing)
6) I can write my thesis instead (though I find the process quite painful)
7) Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life. John Updike
