Tiny Tuesday...a bit late!

Thank you to 60Plus for hosting Tiny Tuesday.  Apologies for being a day late in posting.
I have chosen the Scarlet Pimpernel as this tiny flower is only about one centimetre across but is a most attractive shade of orange and seems to like growing in our lawn.
Apparently it is one of a few truly native species and has another name: 'Poor Man's Weather Glass' as it closes up its petals when the sun goes in.
It is also the name of a well-known character in a novel by Baroness Orczy. The hero of the novel, goes around rescuing aristocrats from the guillotine, with much swashbuckling and derring-do, and gets his name from his habit of leaving a card with a picture of the red flower at the scene of his adventures.
