Cellar Rat

The friend who owns this said it came from France and was used to hold a candle and hang in a cellar.  As the candle burns down it can be 'wound up' to the top.
Late putting this blip on as in the middle of an emergency sewing job.  Altering a bridesmaid dress which is size 12 to fit a size 16!!
