I was surprised to find that Salford Royal Hospital has extended its services to pandas.

Back from a delightful night away to the news that Grandma Betty has had a stroke. She's 84 so on paper this might not seem surprising - but she's indestructible and we wouldn't have expected a stroke for at least another 25 years. She is in good hands but currently can't move her left side at all, she managed to speak to us a bit which was somewhat encouraging but she couldn't swallow and had spent the day on the bathroom floor before her youngest son found her so she was out of the window for the most effective treatments (which are administered within 4 hours).

It's horrible leaving precious people in hospital, I'm thankful for prayer - feels like active participation rather than helplessly watching and waiting.

Come on Grandma, we need you to recover quickly and keep the makers of various cakes and kitkats in business.
