avignon
Saw the girls for a walk down to the Bordette in the morning and then rested for a while in the afternoon. Dad brought me over to Sablet around 4.30pm and I arrived at Deb's house ready to head to Avignon to see Rufus Wainwright at the Palais des Papes. He was showing his opera, "Prima Donna" and then the second half was him singing - a good mixture of French songs and some of his classics, including "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" and "Hallelujah" (which isn't his song, but his beautiful cover of it helped him become more well-known).
Before the show, we went for dinner to a great restaurant called Le Riad, a Tunisian place just off the Rue de la Republique. We had delicious food there and it was very reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.
The concert ended at 1am, so by the time I got home it was 3am! I'm glad I had that rest after lunch :)
