Empress Dagmar's natural spring

We stayed over in Raaseborg, very charming little town by the sea. The town is bilingual, with a majority being Swedish speakers.

Then we headed towards Hanko. On the way we stopped to see the place where I lived the first five years of my life. We also dropped by to see the Empress Dagmar's spring. It is said to be the best natural spring in Finland. Dagmar's spring is located at Källviken, 7 km from Raseborg towards Hanko. There is a memorial stone commemorating Caesar Alexander III and his fiancée Princess Dagmar of Denmark. The royal couple often visited Källviken by their yacht to get drinking water in summers between 1887 and 1894.

We filled all of our empty bottles with the spring water, which tasted very good.

We spent the sunny and hot day in Hanko and in the evening we headed to Korppoo.
