A Small Catch

Spent must of today driving around Er Hai lake, visiting all the places that used to belong to local fisherman but that are now reincarnated as Inns or souvenir shops or restaurants. China really seems to be one vast building site. But the locals are happy to sell their land, get rich, build a new house, buy a new car. And who can blame them?

It's hot and sunny and Dali is immediately a much nicer place for wandering around. We're back in the hotel now after a late ramble and a few Beerlao. Moving on tomorrow, slow train to Kunming.
