Tropical Storm Darby

What a day for the beach!  So much salt spray in the air made it so hazy,  it seemed like a dense blown rain.  The wind was whipping the sand, the water, and the haze.  We lost power early evening, so the rest of the night was illuminated by various flashlights and early to bed.  Strangely enough, the next block over had power and the cul-de-sac above was also lit.  It was impossible to fall asleep with peals of thunder and flashes of lightning and gusting wind.
Power came back on hours later, when the garage light snapped on and equipment time clocks started blinking and sounding off.  Checked everything one last time and headed back to bed.
