St Barnabas - Great Tey

Another day in Essex, and another beautiful church! This is St Barnabas in Great Tey a Norman church, dating from around 1150  that was restored by James Brooks in 1896 - 7.
Inside was  memorial on the wall remembering a certain Martha, daughter of the late Rev'd John Glover vicar of .........................                     Freiston- cum - butterwicle, Lincolnshire! you couldn't make these names up could you!
I have also included a shot of a beautiful field of blue flowers we saw just outside Mark's Tey, I thought it was Flax at first, but on closer inspection I realized it was Borage!
