It was last tuesday!

I sketched this last Tuesday when we were in Paris.  But I had forgotten my box of watercolours so from a photo I have added colour.  And in its heyday there was a lot of colour in this Paris club, frequented by the impressionists - including Picasso, Modigliani, Apollinaire and Utrillo and other creative locals from Montmartre.  Sheil & I did join the current artisans one night a few years ago - the singing was great but not so the wine!  You can have a look inside but you have to imagine it full of singing of artisan songs.

The Lapin Agile was also popular with questionable Montmartre characters including pimps, eccentrics, simple down-and-outers, a contingent of local anarchists, with a sprinkling of well-heeled bourgeoisie out on a lark - just like Burgundy's on a Thursday night!!.
