You will find, as you draw nearer
to the Picture Postcard Riviera,

that it’s perfect;

suntanned couples are all you meet;
there is no swearing in the street;

there is no litter; no dog poo;
the whole place looks brand new;

money’s never mentioned, we all have enough;
(it must be elsewhere where life is tough);

a visible police force is not something you’ll see;
every nook and cranny is monitored by cctv;

each day ends with a sunset that’s too good to be true;
plastic palm trees complete the view.


Worth noting: if any undesirables do arrive
they are lucky to escape alive.
