I was in Largs today in totally different circumstances from usual visits. I was with my sister registering the death of our younger brother and we arrived with time to spare so we found ourselves walking along the seafront.

The grey tones of the photo reflect the feelings we had. It was really  strange as there is no reason why just me and my sister would ever be walking along there, just the two of us.

It was also really sad as invariably every time I have been there in recent years was purely to take my brother out for a walk along the front - I mean push as he was in the wheelchair and I was doing the pushing.

It won't be the same again, I am not even sure if I will have reason to go back.
