Festival!

Looking down Victoria Street this mild August day. Quite a different vantage to last month, when the rains and fogs were upon us! As Alexander McCall Smith said, Edinburgh is 'a city of shifting light, of changing skies, of sudden vistas. A city so beautiful it breaks the heart again and again.'

Festival time is here, which is giddy-makingly exciting! Inky Fingers Minifest kicks off on the 6th, Word Power's Book Fringe on the 10th, and the Edinburgh International Book Festival on Saturday 11th, and there's plenty at the other festivals to tickle a book lover's fancy.
