Olympic Football

Today my Olympic experience began! Travelled to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff with a few of the lads for some Men's Football! We were a little delayed arriving as we stopped at the motorway services to watch Bradley Wiggins win gold in the time trial, but we caught the last 20 minutes of the Switzerland V Mexico game, and all of the main event after of Team GB V Uruguay.

It was a great atmosphere, much more family orientated than an England football game, and almost the entire 70,000 + crowd got behind Team GB. A Daniel Sturridge goal on the stroke of half time saw us to a 1-0 victory and top of the group! We're now through to play South Korea in the quarter final and hopes of a medal are still alive!

I am absolutely gripped by the Olympics and am lucky enough to be going up to London next week for 2 athletics sessions in the Olympic Stadium. I cannot wait!

Come on Team GB!
