The tearful rose

Continuing my recent study of Rosaceae from the garden of Roman House.

This morning there was a short but quite heavy shower. Once it was over the sun came out and I followed it with my trusty old Nikon for my third rose Blip in ten days. I like having dark backgrounds for rose shots - they just seem to work better somehow.
