Coastal horse ride!

A wet morning in Scotland making for a soggy walk along the beach in Irvine, but there is no such thing as bad weather given the right location or scenery. We enjoyed a stroll, chatting as we went before returning to wee Troon. It has been really lovely to see my sister, and her boyfriend, and a joy to meet little Polly. 

It was very quickly time to make the return journey to Yorkshire, via Newcastle where I had cleverly left my passport I will be needing in 2 weeks time...therefore we left Troon at 2pm and arrived back in Yorkshire at 10:30pm...we did stop for about an hour in total though. I have driven approximately 300 miles today - definitely a record for me!!
