Forest still life

Just a gorgeous summers day today - perfect temperature - we ate each meal outside on the patio. Church as usual in the morning - numbers are down at present since so many people are away, plus some, no doubt, tempted to do other things given the beautiful weather! Our afternoon walk took us to an area of the forest we hadn't been to before, near Larchant. Part of it is another area especially popular with rock climbers, and there were quite a lot of them out this afternoon, some obviously there for the whole day, complete with picnics and a few even had hammocks! As we were walking we came across this little arrangement of pine cones and gnarled pieces of wood someone had left on a rock, and I thought it made quite a nice still life and would make a change from my usual forest scenes!
