Elie Bay from the Fife Coastal Path

A glorious day for the beach today, and like the true Scots we are, we were determined to make the most of it!

Packed a picnic and headed along the East Neuk coast from Crail to Elie for a day in the sunshine. Parked near the Pav, "Elie Sports Pavilion" and headed with all the beach paraphernalia to the long stretch of sand at the Earlsferry end.

A walk along the beach and round the headland gave us this view, which I should have photo stitched to give the panorama - but I'm on my holidays, and can't find a decent iPad app to do the job!

This evening we continued the fun at Roome Bay Beach where we headed with our (t)rusty old portable BBQ. Children had fun searching for driftwood and making a fire to toast marshmallows and make 's'mores, while the adults sampled some fine ales from the Eden Brewery which we'd bought at Balgove Larder the other day. Jolly good they were too.
