Those were the days
Haven't been away from the house today - doing odd jobs in and around the place.
I was taking the drawers out of a small chest which I used to have beside my bed when I lived at home in SW London. I was surprised to find this 'Daily Telegraph', dating from Friday June 5th 1970, lining one of the drawers. Remember the BOAC VC-10? The one and only non-stop flight to Chicago.
I must have a read of it sometime - I see the story of a 15-year old boy who died of 'Spotted Fever' and that of two former Irish government ministers, including Charles Haughey, charged with conspiracy to import arms into the Irish Republic. How time flies!
