Hero's Birthday

It is so hot again today and the only resonable place fpr Hero to celebrate his birthday was by the lake. We were there all morning from 9.30 am to 12 noon. The boys swam and swam and swam and so did I. It was wonderful. A black labrador joined us some of the time,

Biscuit is an elderly man. He will be 12 in December. And he has a huge fur, which fills with water, when he is swimming and pulls him down. Swimming is hard for him. It is ok, when I am staying on dry land as he can come up to me now and again, when he is tired, but on these very warm days, when I am out in the water too, he doesn't want to stay on land alone, so he will keep swimming until he is so tired that he will sink. He doesn't want to be left behind. So to  help him, I have bought this orange life jacket for him. He tried it on for the first time today and it was so so so good. Biscuit loved it. He could swim as much as he wanted without getting tired. He was like a litte powerboat speeding about. 

So this is all 3 boys enjoying the cool water.

We have had a relaxing afternoon, which has been nice.
