Essex Skippers

The skippers have arrived. Yesterday I took 500 photos of small skippers, and checked them all to find out there were all indeed Small Skippers (Thymelicus sylvestris). Today, the first skipper I found was a Small Skipper. Here we go again... was my first thought. But the next one had had its antennae dipped in ink. The Essex Skippers have arrived.
