Pavel Steidl

I had a real treat tonight. At the RSAMD, the Big Guitar Weekend featured a concert by Czech guitarist Pavel Steidl. 2 hours of the most amazing guitar playing that I have ever heard in my life. The guitar he is playing is a reproduction of an 1830's guitar that was used by the Czech "Aristocrats", his first set was 3 of their concertos, truly amazing stuff. The night also featured a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and ended with an unforgettable Lambada Fur Elise (Mozart with South American Rhythm!). He's a character on the stage, humming along with his tunes and giving fantastic facial expressions.

Tomorrow's concert that I unfortunately cannot make is by Allan Neave. That concert will feature music by my guitar teacher - Peter Stewart! <- disclosure - I made this website, but don't let that put you off.
