Had the biggest laugh with this girl for the past two days.
Today we were up early for a rescue test 37 miles away. None of us were too thrilled about it, but we had to get it done to carry on coaching! *SPOILER ALERT* We all passed.
On the journey there we listened to lots of good music and played a game where Ellen and I hummed the song and Joe had to guess it - it was great. The day wasn't too bad really, it was all simple and the tutor waffled on for ages about irrelevant stories so nothing too intense. At lunch we did some last minute panicky revision for the assessment but it turned out the assessors were two very very elderly men that didn't even pay attention to our CPR or water skills. (Joe and Ellen also tried to find Pokemon) Oh and by the way Ellen finally found out what agonal breathing was!
We drove back home, Joe and Ellen Pokemon-ing for a Jigglypuff???? I don't understand this game! But we had a good giggle about the day. We then got home and had a BBQ. After firsts daddy told us there were "Sausages, chicken *singing in a low voice* and BURGER" left over, then again sang "Chicken, burger and *singing in a high pitched voice* sausageeees". (I said he went from Lionel Richie to Justin Bieber in two seconds!) this made us all giggle a lot. Another little Ellen anecdote;
"Douglas can you answer my question." *silence*
"Well I haven't asked it yet, don't worry!"
"Why is an iceberg lettuce called that?"
*googled why is an iceberg lettuce called that and found some info on lettuce, asked Ellen if she knew the Latin name to which she responded*
"Yes I actually do. It's Lactuca sativa."
What a random piece of information to have!
Ellen and I spent the next half an hour wetting ourselves over the snapchat filters. Then toasted some marshmallows at the fire and eventually drove home (apparently with my fog lights on...).
Had the best two days!
