Not quite the day we had planned.

9am - About to leave home to go to work with Mr W on the way to see CharlotteJ and Chris for a BBQ. He then gets cancelled just as we get in the car. Go back inside to get time sheets done and drink coffee!

12pm - set off again to Charlottes (with wine!) and plan to have Breakfast en route (Mr W had breakfast at Cobham Services fixed in his head ever since he woke up!)

12.55pm - car starts making funny whining noise that Mr claims is just the road surface. Car looses power. Mr W admits that perhaps its not just the road surface and rings BMW who say don't drive it!

1pm - pull over in Tescos petrol station in Leatherhead and call RAC.

1.30pm - buy dried up sandwich from Tescos.

1.50pm - RAC arrive. Cant tell if its the Turbo or the DPF so arrange Recovery.

3.30pm - back to Tesco to buy icecream! (its cool in Tesco!) Potter in B&Q and nearly buy a swinging seat then realise we don't have a car!

3.50pm - Recovery truck arrives and man eats one of my ice creams!

5pm - I get thrown out the recovery truck close to home and walk with the 3 bottles of wine and left over ice creams. Mr W and car taken to Hailsham BMW where new car is waiting for collection - just incase the sick car is just part exchanged (and the Manager said he will fix it 'mates rates')

5.45pm - drive to Eastbourne to collect Mr W from garage.

7.30pm - go for Consolation meal at Bella Pasta and drown our sorrows in lashings of pasta and Salted Caramel Chocolate Pot.

8.30pm - drop Mr W off at Hire Car collection point at Gatwick airport.

9pm - get home and put Bottles of wine back in the fridge.
