Capturing my Journey

All go

What a day. Up early to make brownies for the tea break when we are clipping. First disaster was cracking a rotten egg into the mixture. So had to start all over again! Brownies successfully made then I drove husband to the farm where we manage the livestock. We had taken rubbish out the back of the pick up and forgotten to shut the back door so on a tight corner a box of stuff came flying out! All intact even the old sony cd player that bounced along the road! I then drove home as i had to do cottage changeovers. Did a quick job on those to get back to the other farm so i could "crogg" the ewes for the shearers. Crogging involves catching a ewe out of a pen and taking it to the shearer and presenting it to them on their back side, the ewe on their backside that is. Luckily the shearers were late so they hadnt started by the time I got there. All clipped and some fat wethers (castrated males) drawn off or the slaughterhouse next month. Extremely tired and relieved tonight. Only downside now is having the owners of the farm staying in their cottages for the next 3 weeks. Oh and you know the stress of getting the silage done!! I did have the gopro set up in the shed so will take a look at footage and put it on youtube possibly tomorrow!

Apologies for rubbish photos last two days just havent been in the mind set to take pictures.

16c dry until 3pm
