Work this morning.  No fun having an office in a conservatory.... 

Home and I've been sitting in the garden in a swimsuit (no one overlooks our garden, thank God)  that I bought about 5 years ago and have never worn before( surprisingly it still fits) drinking diluted alcohol.     I've finished reading a book which made me weep (not necessarily boozer's gloom) - Stoner by John Williams.      Described as "the greatest novel you've never read".   It is beautifully written but achingly sad. Thank you, Maria (Pete's sister) for gifting it to me.
All the while little Hop Hop, the baby robin, has been getting closer and closer to me.   We think HH is female now... seems to have a V shaped hairline developing - a sign of robin femaleness apparently... 

Pete has been working hard in the garden and it looks wonderful.

Al fresco dinner in the garden.  Bliss.
