"Weeeeed!"

I first blipped the extra as  when I saw the stamen forming a mouth it just reminded me of  Bill and Ben The Flowerpot Men and of course Little Weed! But having published it decided I prefered the one I intended to blip  so changed it! To call this a weed is still  rather apt for this wonderful poppy  and others like it had just self sown themselves on the plot of The Onion and Potato man! That's mostly what he grows! So I guess it could be considered a weed as it's growing where not planned - but they are so pretty!Oh and since there are sheds in the background this might now qualify for Bikerbear's Flower friday with implement as sheds is where you store them!!!
I took the photos after opening the chickens  and cleaning the Eglu - oh how easy that is now! I did  some pottering and had a chat with Colourful Mai who had come to dig up her potatoes.  I spent the rest of the day sorting out my garden at home - potting up seeds and potting on plants! Plus throwing the soil from pots into the front garden where the plants had died or bulbs finished and ready to be taken out to dry and store. It made me realise how overgrown my front garden is. It's really a spring garden and once the spring bulbs and shrubs have finished flowering it just gets taken over with ferns and foliage - oh and an immense Bramble that always comes rampaging through the yellow rose no matter how often and hard I cut it back. Actually I had realised how overgrown it was when I had to clear a path for the window cleaner. I lie,  I realised when I noticed two stems of the Honeysuckle had made their way through the sash window and were growing into my front room!  So another thing on the list of things to do!
All too soon it was time to put the chickens back in the Eglu, or rather close the Eglu since they all happily go in it now! By the time I got home I couldn't be bothered to cook - so did a vegetarian fry up - which probably took as long as doing one of my HelloFresh meals but always seems quick and easy to do!
Oh and I have a niggling toothache which if it doesn't settle will mean a trip to the dentist - that is never on my list of things to do but should be and now I am paying the price for it not being there! So I guess I am being a bit of a weed, which is a strange expression as everyone knows how tenacious weeds are! But then again I tenaciously refuse to see the dentist so then again.......
