Definitive Dahlia

The gorgeous 'Bishop of Llanddarf', that came into flower , for the first time this year, today. I bought it at Ruston last Autumn and it never made it out of the pot. I overwintered it in my wee mini Greenhouse then planted it out this Spring, with loads of organic muck. It's already 4.5 ft tall.
Having chatted to local gardeners, I've discovered that there is no longer a need to lift Dahlia's to overwinter, now, especially in Norfolk, our winter are so much milder.
The extra : another view of the same flower. I  promise this is a good colour reproduction, not jiggled at all. I guess the 640 shutter speed on both helps.
