Training

It looks suspiciously like Wendy Welsummer and Vanda Vorwerk are sitting down having a relaxing cosy chat and logging on  in the heat of the afternoon. However you couldn't be further from the truth......

Although friends and sharing a coop they are also close rivals in the up and coming AOG (Alternate Olympic Games), having both been in training from early this morning for the Track and Field events.  Every  4 years The Chicken Run is a closely fought race and these two, though besties are just pumped up with excitement and the rivalry is intense! Of course clucking pleasantries are exchanged on the lawn but when the coop hatch is opened at the start of the race, the sprint is on. Egged on by their team mates one would have to be pretty hard boiled not to support them against Team Magpie who make a racket, heckling in the shrubbery.

 However ... I did catch Vanda saying under her breath, 'If you think o'mletting you win today you must have your brains scrambled'! as I sneaked the camera past them so things are taking a rather serious and possibly unpleasant turn here! I do hope they will all be speaking in a few weeks time!
