Grandma and Grandad

More photo sorting today, this picture is of my grandparents on my Mum's side, this photo was taken at North Lodge which is the lodge house on the Chequers Estate.

Grandad died when I was quite young and I don't have too many memories of him,  other than him being poorly in bed and when he was out of bed being dressed in his 3 piece suit.  He encouraged me with the horse riding as he was a champion horseman in his time.

Grandma lived much longer, a very Victorian lady and quite stern a lot of the time, children should be seen and not heard apparently.
