Whinchat
We took advantage of the fine weather to take a trip across to Inversnaid on the banks of Loch Lomond today. Stopped for lunch at the RSPB site at Inversnaid Garrison, but we didn't walk far because of the heat!
We sat in the shade and watched whinchats, redpolls, house martins, meadow pipits, chaffinches all enjoying the feeding in the fields around us.
Extra is a chaffinch who posed so nicely, it would have been rude to miss her out.
Caught up with my posting for the last month - now need to find time to catch up with everyone else's journals!
