The bird feeder was damaged by wind while we were away, so we have replaced it by recycling a juice bottle.  The birds discovered the food today, and it's been fun to see this year's young working out how to use it...and they love it! :)

Extra is a young sparrow...they are still making their parents work hard to feed them.

A frustrating day for me...spent about two hours searching for documents which I 'filed safely' on Friday, wondering whether I had accidently put them with the recycling or on the fire...fortunately I hadn't.  Followed by a problem with the laptop where my operating system appeared to have been uninstallaed (hence late posting of this blip, but now resolved). 

Lots of swallows about this evening, which was super to watch - I don't remember seeing so many of htem here before.
