Sea King

Been an odd day today, very wet in the morning with a brief sunny spell in the early afternoon before the rain started again. The evening then got brighter again. Sitting in the caravan tonight we heard a helicopter overhead, and spotted blue flashing lights going on to the beach from the other caravan site at the other side of the beach. Headed down to the beach and spotted 3 inshore lifeboats, a coastguard vehicle and the cliff rescue team congregating on the sand, and within minutes the helicopter landed on the beach, dropped off 2 lifeboat crew before flying off again.

Not sure if it was an exercise or a real rescue but within minutes of the helicopter taking off everyone left.
