Happy tomatoes!

Charlie17 visited us today, on his way through Cullen.

He brought us a bag of the most beautiful tomatoes, which he grew himself. Charlie, as many of you will know, is one of the North-East's - nay, Scotland's! - leading vegetable arrangers. So I thought this might be a good way of saying "thank you"!

Charlie is not a fan of genetic modification, but after my novice attempt at veg arranging, I have one plea for what I think would be a truly beneficial use of science: Charlie, please genetically engineer some tomatoes with flat bottoms - I had the devil of a job getting these to stay in place on my slightly curved dish!! :)
