Day 5 residential school

Here we have some students measuring the half-thickness of a radiation source. The half-thickness is the amount of lead required to reduce the radiation level coming from the radioactive source to half it's amount. Its a bit like it's more popular cousin half-life. 6mm or so in this case - just in case you were wondering.
