Catch 32/22
I have a real Catch 22 situation tonight as I have three blips I could upload and Helen and Verity have been no use because they each like different ones. As the forecast said, it has been a miserable day today so we had to stay local and consequently got quite wet walking to picturesque Plockton. After doing the touristy bit we decided to take a trip with Calum and his famous seal trips which are advertised far and wide as 'free if no seals'. I have been out on Calum's seal trip every time we have stayed in Duirinish and he is one of those true local characters. On a seal trip you can expect the same jokes and stories including the three seals basking on a rock which he told us were called Ron, Ember and Lou.......totally lost on the foreigners on the boat! A fun hour was had and many, many seals were blipped.
On return to the cottage Verity and I went for a run along the coastal path and then we all put on our gladrags and drove back over to Plockton Shores Restaurant for a truly delicious meal, our treat of the week. I had sea trout with a crispy sesame crust and a sauce of lime, coriander and mango, followed by raspberry cranachan, yummy.
Fingers crossed for a return to the good weather tomorrow in which case we will take the ferry from Sconser to Raasay and walk up to Dun Caan to soak up more beautiful Scottish views!
The third blip I might have uploaded is here!
