Small Heath

Quite a few of these small butterflies up on the moor today.  I've had a lovely day.  Time to chat, look at the garden and to sketch on the moor above Jan's house.  No blue skies, but in some way it's easier to sit sketching when the sun isn't blazing down.  My extra photo shows the kind of environment we were in.

Also Meadow Brown spotted above Langsett on the way to Jan's.  My photo was a bit small (wrong camera, wrong lens) and the butterfly a bit flighty, but useful for me to be able to identify it.
