Leaping Tiger

Another highlight of our trip today; took the bus to Leaping Tiger Gorge on the Jinsha River near its junction with the Yangtze and walked down to the river to see the Legendary Tiger Leaping Stone. Maybe it jumped in winter though 'cos if the river had been in spate like today there'd have been one drookit tiger washed up a few miles downstream!
Anyway, the walk and the river were spectacular. If you look closely you should see someone on the bridge leading out to the legendary rock. I can testify that it sways a fair bit! You wouldn't get a tiger going across it, that's for sure.

All these bus journeys have got me wondering how many folk are killed in bus crashes in China each day. Just a thought, nothing to do with the maniacs on the roads.
