Surprise!

The MInx has been away at Latitude and I didn't think I'd see her until tomorrow evening but this afternoon she bundled the miniMinx in the car and came up for the evening.

We had a barbecue and while the pit was still raging and too hot to cook on we sat on the decking and had a glass of wine. The contrast wasn't as extreme as the photo suggests; it was light and comfortably warm where we were sitting, catching up and enjoying one another's company.
