The house shook with the thunder this morning, followed by the most torrential rain. By the time I came out of work it was sunny again but the rush of water into the lake made it coolish. I watched the steamer disappear down the lake which made me think of Peter Armstrong's Red-funnelled Boat ... I've been hunting for my copy of it but can't find it to put here.
