Training

Today we visited the event centre to pick up our numbered bibs plus event top. We also purchased a trading area map to try and get a feel for the terrain we would be running in. Limestone rock pedestals with box tree bushes seemed to be the order of the day.

I couldn't resist taking the camera out with me. The bushy vegetation was a challenge to get through whilst trying to keep on line for the next control. Fortunately the distinctive rocks were clearly marked and a useful navigational aid.

Conditions were very warm and ensuring enough liquid was taken on board essential.
