Farewell...
...Killingworth Lake!! I think North Tyneside council have missed a trick in employing me to market the lake. I have taken countless blips of these waters and their surroundings over the past 18 months. I've showcased the beautiful reflections and glistening waters when the sun has been shining. I've captured the water doing impressions of the sea crashing into a wall in the high winds and photographed the monsoon rain falling in the puddles. It's been a gem to me and never failed to provide a blip, no matter how rubbish I may have felt they were, at times!!
Today I said goodbye to my little class and the school I love so much. The send off was overwhelmingly kind from both staff and children. The realty is I have just done my job and had a jolly good time doing it, 99% of the time anyway!! I feel honoured to have been able to spend a year covering a maternity leave and passing my NQT year in such a special place :-)
Tomorrow I'm off up to Scotland and then it's back to Yorkshire for summer fun...and travels elsewhere...before returning to clear my flat and move to pastures new. A new home, a new school and who know what else may be in store.
